Minimal

Minimal, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Hey!
Again today I'm investigating the art of Minimal... I love to join new groups on Flickr. It makes me think out of the box and look for new ways to create, imagine and explore. This Minimal Art is very challenging it looks very simple but to get the right lighting, the correct distance and angle can be a little tricky. The challenging aspect is to do this without the help of Photo Shop.

Try this, it will make you try to defy gravity.

Have fun! Be Happy!

Minimal

Minimal, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Today, the thought is MINIMAL. I would like to make clean clear art with my camera. Not a picture of something that was created by another but solely by the pure form of light meeting light and my camera capturing the moment. Understanding the shape and what it is and falling in love with the color and expression in a simple uncomplicated state.

Can Minimal Art create emotion? Can it create peace? Can it create joy?

Photography is a limitless form of expression.

San Diego California 2009

San Diego California 2009, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Hello again,
This is a photo taken on a recent visit to the Port of San Diego. Artists have been commissioned to create the most unusual trees out of mixed media. It has created a most interesting boardwalk; the imagination used has brought true personality to this wharf's walkway. As you can see it was a near perfect day with just the correct amount of sunlight. See some of the other creations on flickr...

Blessing to you this day!

New York City Tour 2009

New York City Tour 2009, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Hey! I'm back after many months on the road and a few side trips. I thought that it would be fun to start up with my friends again. Here is the Statue of Liberty, I took this last fall while visiting my son in New York City and having a small family reunion. This is amazing. We took a short boat ride to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Very interesting and worth while. A few years ago while in Paris I took a picture of the proto-type for the Statue of Liberty.
You should take a look at the other picture taken in NYC. I think that I hit most of the high points. Most interesting city, lots of activity and interesting people.

Take care,

Art Alley Rapid City South Dakota 2008

Greetings to my friends,
This is a fabulous place I found in Rapid City, So Dakota. To walk down Art Alley is like stepping into the vortex of a creative channel. The creative abilities and expression just seam to vibrate into your being. There are every type of genre that you could imagine. I think that every city should have a place that artists can express themselves.

I spent hours admiring the work of these artists, for the most part it was an expression and not masterpieces. I loved the way it all eclectically fit together. Every corner, stairway and door has expression of someone's artistic creation.

Bob Hope Christmas Concert

Bob Hope, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Greetings,
This picture was taken at the Port of San Diego last summer at sunset. At the pier there is a tribute to Bob Hope for his love and caring performances for our troops though out the years. He would have a Holiday show for many years for the young men and women fighting for our freedom around the world. This is a part of several statues showing the troops standing around listening to him. Very impressive.

I can almost feel the presents of this great entertainer. The artist really captured the emotion of the scene, touching.

Usually, I do not like to take a picture into the sun. I have a UV filter that I put on to help soften the shot. However, a polarizing lens would have improved the look of this shot even more. I like the glow around his head and the soften of the sail boats in the background. The water seems to just glitter. Isn't light just incredible? you never know the real out come until you get home and put it on your computer.

Have a great day! Pray that our troops will be home soon..

Fairy of the Rose Garden

IMG_4421 copy5, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Greetings!
I thought this might be fun to explore today... I have some fairy figurines that I took some quick pictures of and had a little fun in Photo Shop. I like the out come it looks a little whimsy with softness. You have to love fairies, they make your heart flutter with happiness.

Photo Shop is great, you can take a not so good picture and turn it into something of value if you have a little imagination and feel creative.
I used the Posterized and watercolor filters and added some saturation and look what happened? She is flying in the wind the air is dancing all about.

I highly recommend Photo Shop CS3 for hours of fun and entertainment.

Have a great day!
