Arizona Desert 2010

Arizona Desert 2010, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Arizona Desert is in bloom. Last week I took a short drive to see if the flora had come alive and yes, indeed it has. It was a very windy day so I didn't capture as many great shot that I would have liked. This is one that I came home with.

I guess if you get one shot that is worthy in a day you should be thankful.

Have a great day... keep smiling.

Abstract Etc

Abstract Etc, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

I'm having a great day just playing with the 40 thousand pictures on my computer. Yes, forty-thousand. My camera is in the shop and I have nothing better to do then rehash old shots.

Sometimes going over old shots can be worth while. I have improved my Photo Shop skills and I think my eye is a little more trained. At least I know what I like and don't like now.

This picture was taken in Orlando, Florida at the Epcot Center. There was a ride that had a light show and my camera captured some interesting light trails. Sometimes mistakes can turn out to be the best catch of the day. I like the unusual and this is unusual.

Have a great Easter... Blessing to all.

Abstract Etc.

Here I go again, not sure what kind of sea creature this is, but I love the picture. I took this sometime back on a trip to Sea World in San Diego, CA. I like how the light shines on the subject and the golden color....

Have fun creating!

Abstract feathers? Yes it is. I thought this turned out fairly well. A while back I went to the Swap Meet with my camera, yeah, the Swap Meet... You never know where you will come up with some unusual subject matter.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder... right?

Snap... Snap...

Star Wars

Abstracts Etc., originally uploaded by cinda marie.

I went to the Tempe Arts and Crafts Festival yesterday. I didn't get many shots, but on the way home I found this interesting picture on the light rail.
You just never know what you will come up with on a day traveling with your camera.

Someone thought that it looked like from Star Wars... What do you think?

Oh What a Tangled Web

San Diego California 2009, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Hey,
I thought that this picture is pretty sharp.... I love the blue sky and the contrast; you can almost see the spiders in formation. Or is it birds? I'm not sure.

Bye for now

Phoenix Zoo 2010

Phoenix Zoo 2010, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Hey!
Isn't it a great day? The sun is shining and the birds are singing.... Yippie!

I made a trip to the Phoenix Zoo yesterday. I was all excited about taking pictures of all my favorite furry friends and what happens camera failure. It was one disaster after another. First, every shot I took was a struggle because my camera was being difficult. After, changing out batteries, cards and lenses, finally got a few worth shots; only to accidentally clear one of my cards of the pictures. Not to mention the not too perfect skies; creating unwanted shadows and unhappy subjects... Thinking the day was a total wash I came across this photograph.

It expresses my day; but brought a smile to my face. What more could you want than one lovely, soft picture of this beautiful creature?

This make a difference on my reflection of the day.

Peace be with you...

Minimal Art

Minimal Art, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Here I am again... falling in love with Minimal... the more that I explore this the more I want to do... I like the simple, true and clean images. This is a small ceramic shoe that I bought when in Paris a few years ago. I think it looks great on the red back ground.

I like to use as much natural light on the subject and it was a very rainy, gloomy day today, so had to make due with some artificial lighting. Take a look at other new pictures on flickr.

Happy days are here again.... Bye

Minimal

Minimal, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Hey!
Again today I'm investigating the art of Minimal... I love to join new groups on Flickr. It makes me think out of the box and look for new ways to create, imagine and explore. This Minimal Art is very challenging it looks very simple but to get the right lighting, the correct distance and angle can be a little tricky. The challenging aspect is to do this without the help of Photo Shop.

Try this, it will make you try to defy gravity.

Have fun! Be Happy!

Minimal

Minimal, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Today, the thought is MINIMAL. I would like to make clean clear art with my camera. Not a picture of something that was created by another but solely by the pure form of light meeting light and my camera capturing the moment. Understanding the shape and what it is and falling in love with the color and expression in a simple uncomplicated state.

Can Minimal Art create emotion? Can it create peace? Can it create joy?

Photography is a limitless form of expression.

San Diego California 2009

San Diego California 2009, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Hello again,
This is a photo taken on a recent visit to the Port of San Diego. Artists have been commissioned to create the most unusual trees out of mixed media. It has created a most interesting boardwalk; the imagination used has brought true personality to this wharf's walkway. As you can see it was a near perfect day with just the correct amount of sunlight. See some of the other creations on flickr...

Blessing to you this day!

New York City Tour 2009

New York City Tour 2009, originally uploaded by cinda marie.

Hey! I'm back after many months on the road and a few side trips. I thought that it would be fun to start up with my friends again. Here is the Statue of Liberty, I took this last fall while visiting my son in New York City and having a small family reunion. This is amazing. We took a short boat ride to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Very interesting and worth while. A few years ago while in Paris I took a picture of the proto-type for the Statue of Liberty.
You should take a look at the other picture taken in NYC. I think that I hit most of the high points. Most interesting city, lots of activity and interesting people.

Take care,
